I never really washed my hands very frequently. I recently bought a very pretty square of homemade herbal soap and it has successfully motivated me to wash more frequently. With as open as I am to infection this is a habit I need to really stick with.
Many times in a day with cooking and moving around on our dairy farm, inside and out. When I'm out in the public, I try to wash them as often as I can and I like to use sanitizer too that I carry in my purse. I did develop an infection that they said was a from type of bacteria like this and that was with doing all the hand washing, so I make sure I wash them when for sure I need to. We can't be too careful enough.

I probably wash my hands 8 or more times a day, and I use hand sanitizer when I am out in public and touch objects like door handles, carts, etc. Can;t be too careful with medications that lower immune system.
not as often as I did when I was working in daycare! LOL Several times a day, though.
Several times a day, minimum. But probably not as much as is truly best. I do keep hand hand sanitizer at my desk though.
