We haven't been anywhere since my daughter was one year old andwe took a weekend trip to Mystic CT. This year will be the same. Lots of work for my husband to pay for the repairs necessary in the maintenance of our home. I so much wish we could go even for a weekend to Philly or somewhere along the coast. Every time I get a little money put aside, there is a catastrophe which sucks up all our savings. Right now I've had to pay $300 for a repair on a refrigerator that is less than two years old. It was just out of warranty when It broke. UGH. I wish all of you who are getting away a really lovely time. Enjoy!!
I agree with Cyndi, Linda. That trip sounds like something that you would enjoy.
I was on vacation last week and this week. Last week, we went to Stratford and saw Fiddler on the Roof on Wednesday, went to the Sprint Car races on Friday and went to see the Canadian Football League (CFL)'s home opener with the Hamilton Tiger Cats vs Edmonton Eskimos.
Today, I'm going to London, Ontario to have dinner with my sister and to see my niece in King Lear. After that, I have no plans other than reading and relaxing.
I'm also off the last week of July and at this point, the only plan I have is to meet a friend for lunch or dinner.
And, then I'm off for the last week of August and the first week of September and am hoping to do lots of swimming, reading and relaxing.
And, my last vacation this year (other than Christmas) is the weekend of September 20th when I'm going to my sister's house in Quebec to celebrate her 50th birthday that she had in July.
