Oblivion, not a Tom Cruise fan, and was really not excited by this movie. I loved the Jack Reacher novels, but when I heard they cast Cruise, I am not even interested in it. I absolutely love movies but have not had the time to go see many. I average about three a year when Mom wants to go to one.

I almost never go to the movies. I really mean it. On Thanksgiving I saw Lincoln and I think the movie before that was Sleepless in Seattle.! Anyway. Yes. Iwould recommend Lincoln. It was superbly acted and it really made the events of the Civil War come alive.
The last movie I saw in the theatre was The Hunger Games and I loved it! I never saw any of the Harry Potter movies in the theatre because I was always behind on the books so I decided to read The Hunger Game trilogy and then see the movies and it was worth it, IMO.
The last movie I saw at home was the Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I loved the book but I found the movie to be visually disturbing reminding me once again that my imagination isn't anywhere near to how movies project those images.

Kris - My son was recently talking with me about "Life of Pi" and encouraging me to see it. He and the wifey had just watched it with their sweet children.
I love to watch movies, but since I've lived in the house I built 3 years ago, I haven't watched a single movie. I have DISH, but no movie channels and I don't have anything hooked up to the television (like a DVR, or even a game console). I have a PS2 and I guess MAYBE I'm smart enough to attach it to the TV and put in a DVD, but not sure!
And I don't rent movies because I live 35 miles from the nearest ANYTHING!
By the time I do what I must do for my 84-year-old father with Alzheimer's and then try to get my stuff done, I'm too tired to think how to work things out so I can watch a movie!

I'm with Tiny - I don't remember the last time I went to a movie at the theater. Star Trek, perhaps? But at home, I rented and watched "Life of Pi". It was interesting to see the movie after reading the book with my son for his English class.

In the theater - Iron Man 3. Fun movie if you like action/super hero movies. Lots of action and special effects.
At home (watched both of these over the weeekend): Rango - An animated western using critters for a young man finding himself and making friends in the west. Fun and lighthearted with singing owls.
Fast Five - The latest in the Fast and Furious franchise. I loved this movie as it brought back a lot of the secondary characters from previous movies for this one. Another fun watch if you like action movies. Great escapism with character and bonding that you don't often get from action movies.

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. Agatha Christie ----------------------- Kierae
