Hi MIA!

Thank you! Yes, they did tell me that some may never have elevated levels but I didn't know that the prognosis was better. My sister went told her doc about me and he put her on the correct meds.! Crazy right? My mother's specialist has RA and he told me I have it. But of course that doesn't matter! lol You've given me hope! Thank you!! :-)

Patty,

I just want to let you know that all my blood work came out negative. My Rheumatologist diagnosed me based on the MRI of my hand (which revealed joint erosion) and my clinical symptoms. He said there are a percentage of patients that do not have positive blood work. They are considered lucky, because their long term prognosis is much better. He said I should have a lighter case than some. So you see, you don't need to have positive blood work to be diagnosed with RA.

Hiya!! Oh, you all are just what I've been looking for!!

I am an undiagnosed RA or MCTD Mom of 6 and caregiver of my Alzheimer's Mom. I've traveled miles around to specialists and back. My RA levels aren't high enough for an official diagnosis but all the symptoms scream RA. I quit smoking and my body rebelled! I was in a wheel chair for 2 months unable to move without screaming pain, finally my family doctor put me on prednisone. Ahhh I know how I spell relief! :-) My Rheum. said chances are I'll need both hips replaced before my RA factor raises. *Yikes* Sooo, All I'd like at this point is for people who understand the pain while trying to keep as strong and healthy as possible to fight back.

I sure do need to be held accountable, motivation! I need to ♫ Move it ♪ everyday in order to.. well? Be able to move? :-) I sure hope to find that here.

Hugs & Blessings,
Patty
