Hi and welcome,
I'm new here too. I'm a retired RN and have had RA for 5 months. Well, I believe I've had it for several years, but this is my first flare. I sent my DD to my Rheumatologist. He did the usual interview and the usual lab tests and Xray/MRI. She was diagnosed with Sjogren's Disease. We have been trying to get her diagnosed for years, especially in her childhood, but to no avail. The testing was not yet developed. We are both relieved that she has an answer and now she is on medicine. Hopefully she will feel better soon. I am still in a flare after 5 months. I'm on Methotrexate and Embrel. We will have to see if I stay on Embrel. I'm not getting much from it. My Rheumatologist is the best. I have to say that. He's up on everything new and very caring, careful and detail oriented. I hope you find your answer. PM me if you like, but you may get a bunch of answers here on the forum.
Keep the faith!
