Paul! We have a great team of supportive people here. We are all at different places in our illness and in our weight loss journey but what we do have in common is concern for each other and dedication to improving our lives...making them more pain free and losing excess weight.
Please join us in the daily chat ....it's a great place to get to know others.
Sometimes you need a restart to make things fresh! I have had RA since age 6.5, so have seen a lot of treatments and ideas on living with it go by. This is a great team for information -join the daily chatter if you have any questions or issues you would like to unload.
Good luck with your goal!

You will find this team very helpful. I was diagnosed at age 16, some 47 years ago. I read regularly about RA and its treatments but still found new helps here, particularly as to ways to exercise effectively without causing damage or excessive pain, and how to support my body's healing efforts with supplements, particularly vitamin D3. The diet help on Spark is marvelous, as you must already know. I've lost over 100 pounds and kept it off 2 years now. I still want to drop another 50, which is going slow but going. Consistency is key. If we keep trying, we will succeed! God Bless!

Welcome to this team! I was diagnosed with RA in 2001 and joined SparkPeople on May 28, 2012, needing to lose 47 pounds and live a healthier lifestyle. I've lost 26 pounds since May 28 of this year - seems like a very SLOW loss to me, but at least I'm not where I started in May!
Anyway, welcome and many blessings to you on your SP journey!
