Welcome SUNLOVER! We are happy you are here. I am an the other end of the RA spectrum. I was diagnosed this year and have no job or insurance, so I only get Vicodin and Neurontin, and Valium to deal with my pain. No insurance = no treatment here in Florida.
I just broke my leg in July, so I am getting the short end of the stick right now!! HAHA It doesn't even want to heal. Yesterday was 2 months, and my healing is only at about 2 weeks on a normal person. Big bummer, but I still work out every day.
So you will have a mishmash of everyone with different stages and different therapies. All are wonderful women (yes you all are!) and everyone is more than happy to share their experiences.

SUNLOVER - Happy you're here! Sorry you have RA. It's a challenge indeed. I was diagnosed about 12 years ago and have gone from Prednisone to Remicade (with a lot of stuff between the two). This is a great team to learn from.
I'm glad that you found us too. You'll find that this is the right place to receive so much valuable information and support. I'm wishing you lots of luck with your journey. I've lost 62# with being with SP and before, all with being on these RA meds., including prednisone! So it is possible. I try to get on my recumbent bike every day because it's so hard to walk for any length of beneficial time.

Hi Everyone, I am new to this team and to sparkpeople.com. Looking forward to meeting my goals I've set. I was diagnosed with RA 2 years ago and have gained quite a bit of weight since starting all the medications. I REALLY need to get it off! I know those of us with an auto immune diseases, its even more difficult to diet, exercise, etc. Many days I barely make it through work let alone think about exercise or the food I have energy to make... Anyway, glad I found this "team".
