I thought of 3 more today (they were playing great tunes on the radio today):

- Rockin' in the Free World by Pearl Jam & Neil Young
- Rock 'n Roll High School by The Ramones
- December by Collective Soul

Well, if you're a heathen, Kim, I'm probably worse.

Three of my favourite workout songs are:

- Paradise City by Guns 'n Roses
- Everybody Dance Now by C+C Music Factory
- Black Betty by RamJam

Boy, after reading ya'lls playlist I feel like a heathen. :)

I listen to classic rock and some newer stuff. I have my playlists divided into cardio and strength training. The cardio one is a faster beat.

My current favs on the playlist are

Stronger by Kelly Clarkson
Slither by Velvet Revolver
Trouble by Travis Tritt

I love Stronger by Mandisa too. Other favorites are Toby Mac and Mercy Me. Also like movie soundtracks to You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seatle, The Parent Trap and Runaway Bride. My sister, niece and I listened to these on road trips so it brings back great memories and energizes me to work out.

When I am doing weights I just concentrate on my lifting. When I am on the elliptical or
rowing machine (cardio) I use the time to pray for people-surprisingly goes by quick enough...
my favorite music? I like Christian metal and hard rock mostly-though I like most everything!

I have rather odd answers to this question.

One song I like to move to is "Mmmbop" by Hanson (an oldish song from the 90's but one that I cannot listen to without feeling like I have to move my body)

Another one is "More than a Feeling" by Boston.--an even older song. This used to be one of my "driving songs" for when I was driving fast on the highway...Now I can't drive but it still makes me feel like covering some ground.

And the third one is "Stronger"; a more current song from Christian Gospel singer , Mandisa.

I don't usually listen to music when I work out, primarily because I work out at 5:30am and don't want to wake my kids.

However, I listen to the Blues Brothers movie soundtrack and big band swing music when I'm cleaning the house, to keep my blood moving and toes tapping.

I have an all Beethoven playlist, a contemporary Christian playlist, and an old time Jazz playlist, which I use when on the elliptical trainer according to how I feel that day. I seldom use music anywherelse. I like to keep my wits about me, especially when exercising outside.
