hi Harper(?) Not sure if that is a first or last name. Sorry.
Welcome to the team. There is a wealth of info here...between the threads (especially look at the RA specific one and the RA Resources one) and the tons of experience of the members here, you should be able to get just about any question answered. I'm sorry about your diagnosis..but glad you've joined us here. Please feel free to jump into the daily Chat thread and let us get to know you and you can get to know us. I'm Cynthia, one of the co-leaders and I "talk" a lot. haha. Actually , in person I'm very quiet...but I love to write and I am verbose when it comes to putting words on a "page".

anyway. Welcome. Join right in...don't be shy. And Let us know if there's any way in which we might help you.
Blessings!

Hi welcome to the team. A lot of us here take methotrexate, are you doing injections or pills? Also did your Dr give you folic acid with that? I used to take the pill it made me sick to so I switched to injection now the only side effect I notice is a bit of a runny nose the day after. Also the folic acid will help a lot with MTX side effects. I am also on orencia infusions, have tried some other biologics too, unfortunately I have yet to find any meds that help the energy level, but they do help the pain some and slow the disease progress so that's good. If you have any questions ask away we are all here to help each other.

Hi Everyone,
I am 42 and have been recently diagnosed with RA. I am on Methotrexate which is a low dose of a chemotherapy drug. Nothing else was working. I'm sick a lot and want to get some weight off to help releive some pressure from my joints and especially my back. My energy is very low. I would like any advice I can get.

With faith and hard work all things are possible.
