You're so lucky! My little guy is going to be 2 in 4 months and still hasn't said his first word! emoticon He will point down when he wants to sit on the toilet, but he mostly wants to sit there because his older brother does, but he copies him so frequently that he's actually had some success. They all go at their own rate. My older son was two and a half and told me he wanted to go pee on the toilet and never used a diaper from then on and hasn't had an accident yet and that was a year ago.. but in the beginning I couldn't PAY him to sit on the toilet! lol

Do it for yourself, cause no-one else will!

What's a treasure box? Someone on SP had given me the idea of when we both sit on our own potties and mommy goes potty, I get a pretty sticker. And to encourage my daughter to go potty and she can have one too. Which sounds really good. And so does other rewards, but I don't think her little 2 year old mind can understand the concept of what the potty is and that the prize is to reward her for going in it. But I will keep up the hard work! She learned how to say: apple, mama, shoe, sock, outside, eye, dog, drink, eeww, and night night all within a week. She's growing up so fast.

I agree.....if we are not healthy for ourselves & our families, how can we teach our children to be healthy....

She may be a bit young yet, but if you are starting the process by showing her then you're already ahead of the game!!! My DD didn't officially start peeing on the potty until she was 2 1/2, But I started showing her the potty and letting her sit on it when she turned 2. she is pretty tiny so she had to get control of her bladder & sphincter muscles. just remember it takes time.....and a treasure box works great!!!

Congrats on the potty training! My little one will sit on the potty and will sometimes say "potty" because she wants to sit on it (because it's Elmo..lol) but she doesn't know what's it for. When I go to the bathroom I take her and put her on her potty and say, mommy's going potty, skye's suppose to go potty. She just laughs. I don't know if she's too young or what. But taking care of ourselves is the BEST thing we can do for our children. If we arent healthy and don't take care of ourselves, how can we take care of our kids?!

Hi everbody!

My name is Cynthia. I am a 25 year old SAHM to my almost 2 year old daughter. She is the light of my life. She has bounds of endless energy that I wish I had..lol. She was my main inspiration for losing weight. Now that I'm 70 pounds lighter, I can run around with her and enjoy her. I still have about 25 more pounds to lose, but I just keep thinking how good I'm going to look and how healthy I will be for my daughter. She is a handful, though. Rotten as anything. Having difficulties with potty training and other terrible twos things. But I'm enjoying every moment.

Cynthia
