Wow, WWOODALL54, it sounds as if your stress levels are super high. You are an amazing person to even undertake this during your loss, and for that I commend you! You can do this, and you will succeed, you have friends here!

OMG thanks so much everyone for the encouragement. I had a bad first week as there was a death in the family and I faltered more than once, but everyday is a new day and we just move on. I was totally surprised when I got on the scale this morning and it showed a loss of 6lbs! Am striving to be my best and do my best.

Exercise time is hard for me as I work 12-13 hours a day. I leave home in the dark and get home in the dark. But am trying. It will come I know.

Thank you again.

Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.

This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

What are you going to do today to reach your goals of tomorrow?

It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it GREAT

Hi. Welcome to the team. I use to lose weight and put it right back on. I believe that until you care and do it for yourself, that is what will happen. You have to love yourself and do it for yourself.

I love SparkPeople

emoticon to the team. You are not alone. I agree about standing in front of a mirror and learning to love yourself from the inside out. Keep telling yourself you are beautiful because you are. Beauty is more than the outside of your body. As far as thinking no one else cares, that may be BUT YOU care and that's enough. I was told once that it is not any of my business what others think about me. I can't control other people's thoughts. That helped me a lot through the years in my life style changes. It's what I think and how I feel about me that matters. If I learn to love myself others will see that in the way I treat them. emoticon

Yes, it's easy to be brilliant for someone else. That's why I was able to respond to your first note and you'll be able to respond to others. When we grab ourselves by the scruffs of the neck, we can bring it home. The main thing, again, is to remember what we really want for ourselves -- and that it's within our power -- especially when conviction rolls into a ditch. Remembering how good and healthy it feels, too.

Thank you for that uplifting message, I do tend to get down on myself all the while helping others that are struggling with nutrition. I can dish it out really well, but following my own advice is hard!

You do, that's who, and you're the one whose opinion matters. We lose weight and do many other things when we care. It's important to remember that when the caring wanes.

Welcome to you.

Hello I have just joined today and thought this might be a group for me to utilize. I do suffer from depressed thoughts and feelings from time to time. Low self confidence. I am trying to motivate my self to lose 100 lbs before my next birthday in a year. I have had a lot of loss in the last 12 years which has me teetering everyday to stay above the yellow line. Just to make myself get out of bed.

I lose weight and think who cares anyway and boom, gain it all right back. ARGH!
