Hi Kathy and to our group! If you are looking for instant motivation, may I suggest reading some of the Success Stories found under the orange Community tab above. They are wonderful stories about ordinary people meeting extraordinary challenges and winning. They are very uplifting, motivational and unforgettable. We are really glad that you have decided to join us! Take care and God bless, Deb

Hi and welcome, Kathy! When you get a chance, you may want to set up a Spark Page of your own. That way, others can "friend" you, leave encouraging comments on your page, and send you a Spark Goodie now and then. It's a fun and motivational way to connect with others who share your goals and challenges. Remember to "un-check" the box marked "private status" so that others can view your page. You can share as little or as much as you like on your page.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Post often to let us know how you're doing and to get the most support and encouragement.
We're so glad to have you on the team!

Hello and welcome to the team Kathy! Because depression makes it harder to get started with things I start with one change and keep that one going for a while then add in another. Baby steps works because small steps add up to big changes! Start with something easy like drinking 8 glasses of water a day or moving for 10 min a day. Happy to have you with us on this journey to a healthier lifestyle. Marilyn

Hi, my name is Kathy and I've just joined the team. I'm a 63 year old retired mother of two children and have suffered from depression for many years. I've been on meds for a long time but every once in a while I have to have them "tweaked." Even though my meds are working I just don't seem to have the motivation to get started. Any help would be appreciated.
