Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
Hi. Welcome to the team. Education can be stressful. Others touched upon the tools offered by SP. SP offers community too. Belonging to teams and staying active in the community is so important to your journey. That is how you connect with other members and give/receive support and encouragement. Stay in touch with the team.
I love SparkPeople

Hello Denise! I am so glad you chose to join us on this journey to a healthier and happier lifestyle. You have come to the right place for support and encouragement. All you need do is post and we're here for you.
Carol Jean has touched on the important tools and I would like to encourage you to use the Nutrition Tracker especially. It will show you where your calories are coming from and where you can tweak for food and drink intake to be within range for achieving your weight loss goal.
Come back soon and post often. You matter! I care!

Welcome to a great team of caring and understanding people. I ended up retiring from teaching earlier than I planned because our new principal was creating a toxic work environment for me. I am now so glad this happened. I am lucky enough to be in good health and able to enjoy my retirement.
As you learn about this site, be sure to use the nutrition and fitness trackers. They are invaluable tools.

Hi My name's Denise and I found this entire site purely by accident. I've been treated for depression with medication for two years, but recently stuff got much worse and I've been off work since March and will be ending my contract in August (I was a headteacher, but have been told by doctor that I'll probably never work in education again because of my mental health). Decided that as I now need to change my career/work path I might as well do the lot, so I've decided to seriously try and lose weight as well. Hopefully it'll make me start to put my life back together.
