Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

Hi Haley. Wrelcome to the team. Loving to cook you should like using the nutrition tracker. There is a tutorial on how to use it. So when you are cooking and tasting your food, remember track it, it all adds up. If it crosses the lips, it gets tracked.
You say you want to lose 50 lbs by November. If your BMI is lower than 30 you should lose no more than a lb a week. It is when your BMI is over 30 that it is healthy to lose 2 lbs. a week. Anything more than that is not consideered a healthy weight loss. It can be done, but will usually be gained back after you stop dieting. SP is about lifestyle change not dieting.

I'm Haley, 20 years old from Michigan. I'm going to school for culinary arts. Just joined yesterday, but I've lurked around here on and off in the past. My overall goal is to lose 50 lbs by my birthday (11/14). I've always been sort of overweight, but have such a hard time committing to diets and exercising. Mostly because I've pretty much always found friend that accept me, and so I never had the self-hating fueled urge to go on crazy diets or run for hours. I really just wanna be healthy for me, and prove to myself I can. Anywaaays, I love to talk to new people, so don't be shy!
