emoticonAMEENAH121 andemoticonto SparkPeople's DwD Team...Nice to have you with us on the journey to a healthier lifestyle.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Hi Wasila. Welcome to the team. Glad that you joined us. The team is happy to support any member. The member has to post their needs before anyone can respond. If you are not active in the community, how is the community suppose to respond to your needs? Join teams that you have a common interest with. Don't just post when you need support, respond to other members, welcome new members. If you put out positive energy, it always comes back to you.

I love SparkPeople

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am responsible for my own happiness.

Hi Wasila - welcome to our Team. I see that you have been a member of SP for quite a while, so hopefully you have had a really good look around already.

I strongly suggest that you use the Nutrition Tracker - this tool is FANTASTIC!! I will not only give you feed-back about what you are eating re the calories and the make-up as in fats/carbs/protein, but it will also give you the power to make the changes you need.

If you haven't already started making the changes to your lifestyle, remember that the key is to do it in baby steps, changing only one or two things to start with, and only adding something else to the mix when your mind and body has gotten used to the initial changes.

Don't be hard on yourself either for the occasional slip up - it happens to us all.

I look forward to hearing more from you, and you will actually find you get the most support by being active on the message boards.

Take care,
Kris

Hello Wasila. Welcome to our team!

You have come to the right place to find support on your fitness journey. With Spark, you are NOT DIETING---you are BECOMING MORE FIT. Spark is not a diet. Spark is not about deprivation. It is about making healthy choices in your nutritional intake and in your exercise. The Spark fitness program works the best when you set your fitness goals then make small lifestyle changes at a time until those changes have become a habit.

It would be helpful for you to set up your Spark page and set it to "public" viewing in order to maximize support from this team. Stay in touch, okay? I'm glad you've joined us!

Lynne

Co-Leader, Dealing with Depression Team

"When I say itís you I like, Iím talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.Ē Mr. Rogers
