Hi and to the Dealing with Depression team.If you are looking for motivation and support, you are in the right place. This is a very caring and compassionate group. As Kris has said, take your time looking around at all there is here for you. Starting off with baby steps is the recommended path to follow. Change only one or two things in the beginning, adding more to the mix once those become habit. You will see how baby steps translate into giant leaps on down the road. I hope to see you on the threads and posting often, so we can encourage you along the way. It is wonderful to have you with us on this journey! Take care and God bless, Hugs, Deb T.

Hi DHUNTER67 - welcome to SP and welcome to our Team. This is a great place for support for helping to keep it together :-)
Take your time to look around the site and see what is on offer - there is heaps here from fun/games, great articles (in the Healthy Lifestyle Section in the toolbar above) to the Nutrition Tracker (I strongly suggest you weigh food for increased accuracy and enter it in there), to the Fitness Tracker, and of course, the message boards :-)
You will find that you get the most out of SP if you are active on those message boards. It allows other members to get to know you, which in turns means that they are better able to support you, AND it is a really good way of making good friends in the process :-D
If you have any questions just ask - there is usually someone around so a response shouldn't be too far away.
Hi. Welcome to the team. Boundaries are very important to keep in place. Don't let people cross them and let them know when they do. Not in a mean way, but in an assertive way. It is good to be a friend and to lend an ear or to try and help some one, but you can only do so much. It is good that you know this. Stay in touch with the team. You can do it.

Trying to keep it together so I can make this work. It's hard when other people are trying to push their issues upon you. Boundaries are a blessing and I have to keep mine in place in order to stay on an even keel.

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” - Bruce Lee
