Hi and to the Spark People and the Dealing with Depression team. It sounds as if you are a very busy Mom with 4 children to keep track of. Don't forget to take care of you too. Hi and welcome to the DwD team. Sounds like you are a busy Mom and wife who could use some motivation and inspiration to jump start your journey to a healthier lifestyle. This is a team of caring and compassionate people who will give you support and encouragement each time you post.
On the tool bar above, I want to call your attention to the Success Stories. This is a great place to get inspired and motivated. People who have successfully used Spark People to reach their goals are 'show cased' here. Kind of puts you in the frame of mind that you CAN do this.
Please note this is NOT a diet. There is no deprivation on this program. Using the N;utrition Tracker will put you very quickly on the right path. You will learn where your calories are coming from and using the recommended ranges, can identify how many calories and other nutrients will help you achieve your goals. One of the first things most of us discover is our portion sizes exceed the 'right' amount. I know by experience that portions are one of the most common issues to keeping us from losing weight.
Jump right in and wander around the site. It is full of tools and articles and other elements that successfully keep us on the path to that healthier lifestyle we all want. Taking your time and proceeding in 'baby steps' will help you avoid being overwhelmed. It is one great and awesome site.
