Glad you chose to join us on this journey to a healthier and happier lifestyle. You will find support and encouragement here whenever you post. Do come back soon and post often for the most benefit.
For additional motivation and inspiration, read some of the Success Stories above. These are about ordinary people who have achieved extraordinary things with Spark People.
I suggest you use the Nutrition Tracker, above under My Tools, to identify where your calories are actually coming from. It also contains recommended ranges of nutrients to support a healthy weight loss program. This is not a diet, nor is it about depriving yourself. It is about getting more fit and having the confidence to take control of your eating.
Set your goals and take small steps to meet those. Look at it as a daily commitment to achieve that day's goal for satisfaction with self. I do 10 minutes of exercise daily. It isn't much but it is moving me forward to my ultimate goal of 30 minutes. I see it in doable increments...not in something I'm too frustrated to achieve.
Welcome. I look forward to reading your posts.
