Thank you for the welcomes and support/ideas. I do really appreciate it. I think knowing there are others working towards the same goals is helpful in itself. I had a rough week with my son being sick and then myself. So, today I will be back to tracking and hopefully feel like at least a little exercise. I'm learning to use SP as a sort of "grounding" focus to get me back on track sooner. I am definitely an all or nothing type of person and when I have messed up, its hard for me to get back on track. I need to just see each day as done and start out with my healthy outlook the next morning, even if I did not meet my goals the day before. Thanks again :)
I'm not in the same boat age wise, but I do need to be at a much healthier weight before having a baby. Have you talked having another baby over with your doctor yet? If not, I would definitely get on that, as your doctor would be able to go over all of your concerns with you- though definitely be prepared for your current weight to be brought up by your Doctor. I'm mentioning this, because I know it is a hard subject for many to hear from their Doctor, especially since some Doctor's don't have the best "bedside manner," so to say.
Any weight loss when overweight is a good thing! I really do think it's harder for women to lose weight, rather than men. Just try to keep on track- if/when you "mess up," just accept it, and start again. If you're not losing as much weight as you think you should/can be, take the time to write down why you think that is. Then, try to think of some easy changes you could make to try to improve. Just don't take on more than you can handle! :) Weight loss is a funny thing, our bodies don't always react the way we think they should. Make sure to always weigh yourself at the same time (with roughly the same amount of clothing) & on the same scale.

Hi, I am almost 38 and have a beautiful 3 year old son. My struggle is that I feel like I am running out of time for another child but have continued to struggle with the need to lose some weight first. I am getting on track, but it has been a slow loss. Part of my problem is that I have this timeline looming over me, or so I think. I need to be at a healthier weight, but am afraid I will miss out if I wait too long for another baby. Are there others in the same boat? I am hoping to be able to find some encouragement to stay positive and maybe help some others if I can as well.
