Sue is it showing pounds so I think that you fixed it. Just make sure that when you make changes on your page to save it or it will go back to what you had.

Chia seeds I am not sure how they taste since I do put it with my cottage cheese. It makes a great filler too. Helps with digestion too,

Hello to Everyone who has responded to say hi or pass on some advice! This is the first time I have never blogged so this is new to me, but it seems to be a great way to get some good knowledge from other people living with some of the same issues.

I am pretty good about eating fruits and vegetables (sometimes when it comes to fruit too good) but some days it is a challenge to get 5 servings. I am slowly getting tired of tossed salads, especially for lunch.

I do eat nuts but because I am on a calorie restricted diet, nuts are a luxury because you get so little for the calorie count. I have never tried chia seeds, what do they taste like? I have tried quinoa a couple of times, but I am not sure about the taste yet, so it has not been a big staple in my diet.

Anyhow thanks for all the ideas I have received so far, knowledge is always a good thing, keep the ideas coming!

Welcome to the team. Try nuts too and chia seeds(you can get those in the health food store) to get more fiber in and also good oils too.

You are absolutely right, many of the gluten free alternatives are not healthy. Like all processed foods they often have added sugars, sodium, and sometimes other unwanted ingredients. I know you said you don't care for legumes, but I would suggest slowly adding fruits, veggies and other natural foods into your diet. It's overwhelming at first but take small steps, it will get easier.

Hi to celiac team. I am not celiac, but gluten intolerant. I will be watching your postings because I find that weight loss is challenging for those overweight with a gluten sensitivity. I can still eat some items with gluten occasionally in but if I eat some two days in a row, I am in agony.
My biggest challenge is getting enough fiber, I don't like anything in the legume family so with no wheat cereals, breads it is challenging! I am also diabetic so that complicates things too.

How is anyone else who is trying to lose weight, managing their diet, gluten free alternatives are not necessarily the healthiest.
