I can relate - year of misdiagnosis and one day my Dr. was out and the Dr. filling in had a brainstorm and tested me for everything he could think of. I've developed some other GI issues as well - all related to being undiagnosed so long. The body can only take so much! Sometimes it's a blessing though.

Hi I just joined SP and was happy to find this team. I have been GF for almost 8 years now. I spent about 12 years (maybe more) trying to find out what was wrong with me. I went to many doctors. They would say I had dyspepsia, dysbiosis, IBS, and gave me Prilosec. No one could figure it out and I felt they thought it was all in my head. My father encouraged me not to give up. Finally I said to myself it has to be something I'm doing every day. What's that? Eating and drinking. Finally I went to a naturopathic Dr.. She took a history and had me do some tests. She figured out in 2 weeks what no conventional Dr. could in 12 years! Yay! No more stomach aches, headaches and persistant fatigue. I hope they are teaching new doctors more about gluten intolerance (what I have) and celiac disease. I now have Diverticulosis I believe because it took so long to diagnose gluten intolerence. That's another diet thing. I can live with that! Good to be here!
