It is true that the gf diet is very high in carbs. I do not eat a lot of pasta. I once in a while make a pasta dish but try to limit it. I usually just have one slice of toast of canyon bake house bread. I am not a big sandwich person. Since I did not have bread for a while, I try to eliminate it as much as I can. Just try to watch your carb intake and calories. At lunch time, I may try a lettuce wrap which are very good. Usually for dinner, we have some type of meat, fish or poultry, vegetable, sweet potato or rice and a salad.

I do not eat any muffins, very little cookies or just a small amount of pasta. Take that back, I have had some corn muffins just a while ago but try not to eat that much. Right now hubby has to watch his carbs and calories so that is helping me as I can watch my intake too. He is not gf.

The Canyon Bake House bread cannot be bought at any store. It has to be ordered.

Ask your grocery stores if they carry the Crunchmaster crackers.

Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Char

Thanks so much Jen & Char for all your information on crackers & breads. I live in Pennsylvania near the New Jersey line. Our health food stores carries a lot of gluten free products. As well as the grocery stores in the area. You are finding more & more products available that are made gluten-free.

The 7 seven grain bread that char spoke about sounds really good from Colorado. Do you have to order it or does one of your stores carries it. My husband just picked up a delicious gluten free loaf over the week end for me. He bought it at our local health food store. It seems to have several grains in it. It's on the sweet side & very soft. I love it! The slice could be a lot larger than what it is.

I'll have to keep looking for those Crunchmaster crackers. I have one question? If your diet is going to be eating more breads, crackers, muffins, cookies & pasta. How can you keep your weight down?

On my Candida yeast diet I didn't eat those foods. I only ate meats, vegetables, salads, eggs no fruits or fruit juices. Tofu was one of my favorites. I learned how to cook & be creative with my foods. What do you members do to keep your wait down?

Thanks so much,

Welcome Sunflower. You have found a good site and glad that you are getting the help that you needed.

I agree with Jen that Crunchmaster has some awesome crackers. Where I shop they have a specific area for gluten free products. If you are not sure, ask your manager at the market and they can let you know if they do carry them. Also you can check with your health food stores as I am sure they do carry them. The bread that I like is also from Colorado. It is called the Canyon Bake store. I get the 7 grain bread and this is the first one that I eat toasted or not.

emoticon to the group,

You've gotten a lot of good advice, and we have more to share. For crackers I love Crunchmaster - they can be found in most grocery stores, it's not a specialty item. For bread I like Udis or Rudis. They are 2 different brands and both from Colorado.

Hi Dorothy,

Glad to met you! I am currently working with a Doctor that is helping me balance out my colon. Eliminating the yeast I have left & bad bacteria. Gluten just came on my last test I took from him. I eat healthy foods, lots of salads, few breads & cereals. If I would like to eat anything like crackers or breads I know now to eat only Gluten free.

Hi and welcome to the team. If you want to kill the fungus go to the website "Know the cause" and they can give you info on how to kill it and what to take to help kill it too.

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

Hi Everyone!

I'm a new member of this group. I just recently found out I have a Gluten problem. After dealing with a Candida yeast infection for many years. My intestines were always so bothersome & never understood why? I would like to meet members on this group and share ideas & lots of receipes. I'm new at this so I need all the help I can get.

Any members that would like to share & be friends I would appreciate it very much.

Hugs,
