I poked around on a few other threads and realized that I probably don't belong on this team ... threads here seem to be about how to eat bread and pizza and whatnot without gluten. Hmmmm... that's totally different from my nutritional goals. I'll probably politely bow out and return to the paleo diet team, where the info is more relevant to me. I wish all of you well though!
I looked at the nutrition tracker that was displayed for the the day I posted or your link. If you are getting enough protein and carbs and are feeling better, then that is all positive. If you have access to a dietician, I suggest that you take advantage of it. Btw, your brain needs those carbs to function. That is why when you do any intense brain work, you crave the carbs/sugars, candy bars etc.
Ps. There are carbs in the paleo diet, although a lot of people are surprised by that since it's grain-free. Today (Thursday) I ate eggs, salmon, mussels, salsa, butter, vegetables, & fruit. My spark people food tracker says I ate 188 grams of carbs today.
I was doing a vegetarian experiment last week (not the paleo diet)...that ended badly so I'm back to the paleo diet now. If it looked low in protein you were probably looking at a vegetarian day not a paleo day.
Prior to last week I've been on the paleo diet for 1 1/2 years.
there used to be a pie chart that showed the food tracker entries for the proportions of carbs, fats & protein compared to the ideal for health. I found it very helpful to know where I was unbalanced. With the new food tracker, it's harder to tell. My sense is that you are short on protein and complex carbs. My feeling is that even with a paleo diet there should be complex carbs. How long have you been on the paleo diet as opposed to regular eating?

Hello everyone, I just joined this team. :) I've been gluten-free for about a year and a half, on the Paleo diet. Being gluten-free is really great ... I think it cured my acne and chronic fatigue and depression.
I recently started taking pictures of everything I eat at http://photo-food-log.posterous.com. It's just pictures from my cell phone so the quality isn't that great, but I would appreciate any feedback you might have! Or if anyone else has a photo food log I would love to subscribe. I'm very visual and pictures help me a lot.
I'm also trying to decide if I want to incorporate more gluten-free vegan days in my diet, or continue on the Paleo diet with meat and fish ... that's why the past few days are vegetarian in my food log.
