Michell, I am glad that you went gf as it is not worth getting sick all of the time. They also told me that it was negative but only took four (4) biopsies. My younger sister has celiac and said they should of taken at least 10-12. I was not going to go gluten to get checked again. You did the right thing.

Welcome again and glad that you joined us.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!emoticon

Char, I had one part of the panel done, and it was negative. I found out later that there is an actual "panel" that has different parts, and I asked for that. I was told by 2 doctors if that one part was negative, there was no reason to do the other parts. 2 other doctors (a gastro) and a Rheumy said there was no such thing as a celiac panel. I am done with doctors for a while! lol Some of them wanted to start me on very strong drugs, but didn't want to do further testing or listen to me. I pretty much gave up and was miserable for a quite a while. As I got sicker and sicker, I got scared that if I don't try to help myself, no one will, and here I am!

Thanks again for the welcome everyone!

Hugs, Michelle

emoticonto the team! Try to remember what you felt like before going GF and it might help keep you that way! I was really sick and try and hold onto that when I want something with gluten.

Hi Michelle and welcome to the team. It is a great support group and know other members will welcome you too. Have you ever been tested for Celiac Disease? I am glad that being gf makes you feel better. I have been gf for almost 2 yrs and never felt better in my life.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. If I do not have the answer, I am sure other members will know. .

Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi everyone, my name is Michelle, and I just joined your team.

I am on a gluten free trial, though I know it won't be a "trial". I have gone gluten free before, and felt and looked so much better. I have a lot of symptoms, like the dreaded chronic D, fatigue, skin issues, bloating, body aches, abnormal labs, sun sensitivity, chronic sinus issues, etc. I have been told I have some autoimmune issue brewing, like lupus. I believe that gluten intolerance is probably at the root of it, and could save my life, if I will just stick with it!.

It is not easy, but after just 2.5 days, I already feel like the "fire" going on it my body is less. Amazing! My eyes are clearer, less bloating, less brain fog, less tummy upset.

I am very lucky to live in an area that has lots of gf options, and a store that makes prepared foods too. Expensive and can't do often, but I can go in and buy and use them if I am too tired to cook, or simply want a cupcake or meatballs!

I look forward to getting to know you, and continuing to feel better everyday!

Michelle
