emoticon Welcome to gf Sparkland :).

I sent you a welcome email when you joined. In that letter there's a link for a thread to sign a petition for a gf mealplan - please feel free to sign it. I hope to send it to SP at the close of summer. We need all the signatures we can get so newbies like you can get assistance.

(I'd share the link again, but my laptop is overheating and it won't copy/paste when it's hot! - go figure!)

For ideas, you could look at random team member's pages to see how they're getting along gf.

Thank you! I have another 50 or 60 pounds to lose before I hit my goal and my CD diagnosis kind of turned everything upside down for me for awhile. I've noticed that since I changed my diet to eliminate gluten, my body handles sodium differently and I am actually having to watch my salt intake. But, since I've changed my diet, I'm also feeling A LOT better and am getting back into my workout routine. I seem to be losing weight again, so I'm excited and looking forward to reaching my goal!

Hey, thanks for the email and CONGRATULATIONS on your SPARK adventure. You have made remarkable progress.
It doesn't look like I have any weight to lose, but I know what it is to be 60 pounds heavier than I am now and how easy it would be for me to get that heavy again.
The lighter life is so much easier.

Again, thank you and BRAVO!!! Or should that be BRAVISSIMA!

No, not yet, although that would be nice!!!

If you want some ideas, here is my food day, on average:

Breakfast:
62 grams corn chex
120 grams 1% skim milk
peach or nectarine

Snack:
1 oz sharp cheddar cheese
more fruit

Lunch:
Steamed broccoli or other steamed veggie
100 grams protein--chicken, pork, etc.
1/2 c. brown rice
(it's never plain--my husband is the cook in our house and uses lots of rice wine vinegar, gluten free soy sauce; lots of other asian sauces and herbs--basil, rosemary, etc.)

Dinner--usually the same thing as lunch, only fresh.

I am reading "Living gluten-free for dummies"--or something like that--I can't quite remember the title and the book is in my car!! There are recipes in there that are not too bad. You can also modify regular recipes to be gluten free.

Does SPARK PEOPLE offer gluten-free, wheat-free menu options?
I am naturally laze, so the more automated meal plans I can get, the more likely I am to stick with the game plan. Thanks for any leads.
