It would be awesome to have GF menu options, but I suspect that then they would need to throw in there filters for everything and they may not want to take on any possibile liability, you know?

I do use the menu options and just swap out/or leave unchecked all gluten-full items. I use the menu options to help me create more well-balanced meals and to track my nutrients. Otherwise I would never get enough calcium, iron, etc. It takes me a lot more time than I suspect it would for someone who doesn't need to worry about intolerances & allergies, but I do it in advance so that I know exactly what I am supposed to eat the next day lol

For any of you who aren't already aware of it, ALISCOTT has created a topic in our Team Forum for a petition to create a gluten free meal plan on SP. Signing may or may not produce any action, but not signing will definitely result in no action, so for all those who want this, signing can't hurt, and it may help. I myself, do not need help with meal plans, but I have signed the petition because I know that there are a lot of people who are totally confused by this new way of eating, and they aren't used to preparing food from scratch in the first place, so this could be helpful to them. We are on this team to help each other out, so this may be a way to do just that. Best wishes to everyone for a great and healthy day! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I wrote a letter when I first joined and that was over a year ago. With the reply that I got I don't expect anything to happen anytime soon.

I sent an email last night. Try this link: www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_s
up
port.asp

It should take you to "Contact Customer Support" page. YOu will need to change the email if mine is still in there. But I just told them that it would really help me achieve my goals if there was a gluten free option for the meal planning. They sent me back this:

Hi,

Thank you for the kind note and the suggestion, I will pass them along to
the team.

Thanks for writing!

Maybe it will get somewhere, maybe it won't, but at least we are trying:)

Maybe if enough people mention it..maybe just maybe we will be heard:)

That's a GREAT idea! I have been wanting to use it more also, but don't like the idea of having to change everything either. I wonder how to go about doing that?

My name is Laurie and I am on and off from here reading but never really posting. I really struggle sometimes with making my meals and I would love to use the menu planning that SP offers, but I can't unless I really change it, then what is the point. I was wondering if any of you have contacted SP to see about getting a gluten free option added to their options? If not, maybe we should all suggest it?
