I knew that I also had a wheat allergy, and I suspected I had celiacs...it was confirmed by the doc last week...I have been not well for the whole summer and that's because of all the gluten... I have not had any products at all that contain gluten...and after 5 days I already feel a bit better. I wish I would of stayed on track with all the non gluten items....I could of had a better summer,,,just to think that by changing a diet...it can make a huge difference...I'm looking forward to having my energy back...Dee

While I never knowingly had any celiac symptoms, or even what some people would call gluten sensitivity, when I stopped eating any foods with gluten, I felt immeasurably better within two weeks. Now, I'm a little over a month GF (and mostly dairy free...still eating yogurt) I feel much more positive about my life, I have more energy and you are absolutely right, it makes it much easier to say NO to things that I used to crave. I hope this sense of feeling good stays, because it is makes everyday worth living. Oh, and losing weight has become almost a non-issue in a way because I'm not craving things and I seem to be losing about a pound or two a week.

I've not gone GF yet, and haven't been diagnosed with anything except an allergy to wheat (years ago)--but I plan to give it a try soon. Hope I feel lots better, although right now I attribute my "tiredness" to a sick daughter and the care of two young children. 8-( Linda C

I think I felt 800 percent better emotionally, as well as, physically. Most likely, this is why I have been able to not crave foods with gluten in them. I never want to feel that sick again!!!

Just shut-up and listen.

I wish I could say I did, but except for DH I don't really have any symptoms. My CD was discovered by accident. My DH was diagnosed about 30 years ago and I was told not to eat wheat, but as soon as my skin cleared up I went back to eating wheat, just not as often. Back than the Dr's didn't know if you have DH you have CD. The funny, but not funny was he told us not to have children as we would pass the DH on to them if I ate wheat.

Yes, I did. The food is so much better than it was years ago. They have come a long way, we are so thankful.

Heya, I've only recently started a GF diet and I was wondering if everyone else felt such a huge improvement straightaway? Since going GF I just can't get over how much better I feel. It's not just that my allergy symptoms have drastically improved, it's also a general feeling of wellbeing. I was so tired and sluggish all the time and that's almost totally gone...it's hard to explain, like I only realised after going GF that I'd been feeling sick constantly, it had just become normal. Did everyone else feel this too? I hope so - it certainly makes it easier to avoid non-GF foods!

Nothing tastes as good as being healthy and full of energy feels.
