Thanks for all the comments about exercising a home. I have been using the Leslie Sansone DVD's. I recently purchased the Spark People Boot Camp DVD and tried that one. I like Coach Nicole and the fact that there are 3 levels of intensity. It is challenging me to do things I have not done for 25 years such as lunges, sit ups and push ups. I could barely get up off the mat without a struggle. So I have been going back and forth between different DVD's.

! I've been using fitness DVDs for almost 12 years now, with only a few days at the gym here and there thrown in in the past, and have to say I love it!!! I have a big variety of workouts, giving me daily options for what I'm in the mood for that day. I love strength training (mostly FIRM workouts -the bit older series with the 'Transfirmer' box, but the newer, pink, ones are nice too), Pilates, Barre/ballet, Yoga, kickboxing, Turbo Jam, Jillian Michaels, Jackie Warner, Biggest Loser, Bob Harper, as well as Leslie Sansone [I favor her a lot because her walks have absolutely NO dread for me!] , Denise Austin and last not least Ellen Barrett! I would say test the waters and see what you like and what makes you feel the best! Over the years I tend to lean more towards lower intensity workouts vs. high impact as I not only often feel them in my knees and back [I'm not quite 40 yet!] but also end up ravenous many times when I work out so much more intense! (I don't need/want to lose any weight though, I'm at a happy range, I simply want to work out for health reasons!) That being said though I love my collection and love the variety I have!
Welcome, SANDYCRANE! Over the past year, I have picked up exercise DVDs as a way to shake things up to my fitness program. I was strictly a go-to-the-gym exerciser. When the weather got bad, I found myself needing to work out at home. In addition to the SP bootcamps and videos, I found different DVDs: Coach Nicole, Billy Blanks, Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels and Leslie Sansone are my favorites. What are your favorites?

I started back with Spark People this past August. I biked a lot when the weather was warmer but now I use exercise DVD's. I hoping to find tips from others about what DVD's have worked for them. I prefer to exercise at home as I have the space and time and cheap. I am looking for some new challenges.
