Welcome to the board! Our weight loss goal is similar and I (as well as most of us here) can empathize with being short and stout. I've noticed that even a few pounds gone at a time makes a big difference in the way I feel physically. That's been a huge motivator.

Welcome and congrats on the first week's weight loss. At my top weight I was where you were at. Along with being short I am short waisted too so I hated how things felt around my mid section. Spark has been a great place to be and I am sure you will do well. There is a lot of us who have similar situations so that is helpful on seeing how others deal with weight loss.

Hi, everyone! I joined SP about a week ago and was delighted to find your team tonight. I'm a little over 5' tall, and it's hard to be so short and so overweight. I have gained and lost a few times over the years. My greatest loss was 60 pounds a few years ago, but I managed to gain most of it back after I went back to my old horrible ways. I am sick and tired of not being able to wear most of the clothes in my closet, which are size 4 after I reached my ideal weight of 115 so long ago. For the last year or so, I've been hiding in T-shirts and elastic pants.
So far in my first week of using SP I've used the fitness and nutrition trackers diligently and lost 2.5 pounds. Combined with the few pounds I lost beforehand, that's a total of 10 pounds. I still have a long road ahead of me, and I will need all the support I can get!
