Hi, all. My name is Olga. I have not been active on SP for about 5 years. Several times I signed on hoping to stay and lose weight, but I was not able to keep up. So, I am trying again. I initially signed up with SP about 10 years ago. I lost almost 20 lbs back then (17-20) and kept off the weight for about 2 years. After that, I stated having daily migraine headaches and just could not exercise and think about “healthy food”. When I have migraines, I crave junk food and comfort food. So, I not only put the weight I lost back on, I also added some additional lbs. My headaches are a little better now and so I have been trying to get back into the healthy rhythm. My cousin’s daughter is getting married in Washington, DC in October and I would love to lose some weight by then.
I live in TX. I am married. I have 2 children, 16 year old son and 15 year old daughter. I work full time in an office, which means I sit for about 8 hours per day.
For the last few weeks, I have been trying to eat 1500 calories per day and I started walking at the mall on my lunch hour. I walk 30-40 minutes. I know it’s not much, but it’s better than nothing, right? Next week, I am hoping to start walking with my dog after work and walking on treadmill after dinner. I don’t know if I will be able to do both. I am hoping walking at the mall during lunch will give me more energy for the rest of the day.
