Cami, and I so glad that you're here with us. I haven't been on this team for very long myself, so I can say that we're both pretty new here. It's so fun to be among those who are also around our height. We have so much in common. I love it that you called us fun size! Whee! Hi, everyone, I'm Cami! I'm so glad I found a board for those of us who are vertically challenged. It's extremely difficult to compare weight loss with other people's pictures when they're so much taller. I'm 5'1", and losing 50 pounds on a 5'1" frame is significantly different than losing 50 pounds on a 5'8" frame.
Anyway, my name is Cami and I'm trying to lose 100 pounds. My weight problem began after I was diagnosed with cancer at 13 years old. It was just a little at first, then when I graduated from high school and became less active (I was an elite cheerleader and competitive swimmer), I gained around 80 pounds. So now I'm here, at 203 pounds (down from 215!). As you all know, since we're short, a lower weight is pretty much necessary for a healthy body fat percent.
Last week (5/22/12), I started phentermine. I've lost 8 pounds so far. It's helped with my appetite a lot and I'm hoping it's shrinking my stomach so when I'm eventually taken off, I will continue eating less.
