Hello and welcome back, GEEKPRINCESS. Like the others have said, you know how to do it, so go and get er done. Baby steps if you have to, don't quit and you will get back to feeling "good at 160". You can do it and we'll be here to support and encourage you if you need it.

Just like geekprincess, I am starting over again, except I am new to SP. I started last week, even though I was sick, I still tried anyway, I am feeling better now, but had no energy for a real workout, and my eating was not the greatest. Tommorrow is a new day. I will try again.

glad you are making yourself the priority. you said something significant... you felt happy at 160. i think you found the key ...centering yourself in your happiness no matter what life throws your way.
So starting over sounds like it can be so negative, unfortunately it does happen. The good thing is that you already know what to do and what you need to do. You've already made those first steps to get healthier again. Don't beat yourself up over whatever issues that you've "had". One foot in front of the other will get you on the right path again, start over and on a clean slate and it will all come together!

Hi everyone, I'm back to Sparkpeople after a couple of years away. I had a very successful weight loss during 2008, where I went from 207 down to 162. I maintained for about a year, but then life got ugly, and between losing my job, my boyfriend leaving for med school, and issues with my child, I have put it all back on over the past couple of years.
So, now I've gone up to 213. I'm 5'2" and desperately have to get myself back down, I just don't feel good about myself at all! I've tried half a dozen times to get that "willpower" back, with little success. But, I'm not going to give up. I'm here now, trying yet again to get back into my healthy habits and lifestyle. I felt very good at 160, was size 10/12, very nice curves and happy.
I know the secret for me to lose weight is to be accountable. Journaling my activity and food really kept me accountable to myself, so I am going to start doing that again.
