Hi Tori!
Welcome aboard, I'm glad you stopped by! I understand completely what your going through with your family. My husband thinks 5 lbs off, and it's gone my girls are the same way although they are 8 and 15! I've found that when I make dinner I just add a twist for me, such as more veggies for me and less of what I shouldn't have. Then when I have to make anything with ground meat, I switch it up slowly and use a turkey and l/f beef then I fully convert to turkey. He is one that likes to go out to dinner also and there have been times that I've told them to go and get stuff for him and the girls but I'll find something in the house that I would rather have. That happened 3 or 4 times and then he realized that I wasn't going to change my mind and they stopped going out as often. My husband used to tell me that he didn't think that I needed to loose weight that I looked fine the way I was, the thing was I didn't feel fine and I didn't feel like I was at my peak, I had lost it. No matter what my husband said I went on this venture myself doing whatever it took, whether it was eating or working out then I found my Spark Friends and that helped with reinforcement and Kudos's. When you don't think something is a step in the right direction you use your Spark Friends as a sounding board, write a blog or just yell out for help and someone is there to listen and help or even give advice that they've tried and that worked for them..
This is something that you can do and that can be done. You have numerous tools here and if you use them you'll find the light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to keep in mind that through your journey you will have ups and downs no matter how frustrating they are but you will always have support, eventually your husband will see that you're happy about yourself, and that will make life great!
Lay out your plan for what works for you and log your food and of course whatever you like to do for fitness. It's a slow process but well worth it once you can make the lifestyle change, and remember there will be detours along the way, just don't beat yourself up over it, tomorrow is another day!
You can do this! Good Luck in your process!
Kelly
