Welcome! I have already lost about 30 pounds so I know how you feel. I have learned a whole lot from sparkpeople. If you feel discouraged just keep coming back and you will get a lot of help. If you fall off the horse just remember you can always get back on it and start over again.

Hi I'm Jody and am 5' tall and weigh 174. My goal is to lose at least 40 to to 50 pounds. I have always been tiny but , as I get older I have been gaining more weight. It's hard to be short and fat. I hate it and miss my younger body.....I just don't feel good gaining weight and hate the way it makes me feel... I was born to stay thin . My body performs better when I am thinner. I feel being shorter makes me look even fatter. I always had trouble fitting into slacks being so short and would have to cut most of the leg off to make them fit. I hope to get a lot of help from others out there on keeping fit. I need your encouragement and help... I get depressed when I feel out of shape.
