At just turning 60, I have plenty experience with the yoyo weight problem. It doesn't take much when you are short for it to really show on the hips or abs. What really helped for me is eating 5 times a day. I split up my points (Weight Watchers) into the 5 meals. I have a good non processed lean protein and a small portion of a carbohydrate, like brown rice. Veggies are free and I had to really cut down on the fruit. This way I can actually eat more, because what I eat gets burned off in a smaller meal. And you never get hungry, which can destroy a food plan.

Hello, my name is Tajala and I'm 4'10. I'm glad to have found this group because always nice to get to know people who know where you're coming from. The great thing about being short as it applies to weight loss is that small loses make a big difference appearance wise, but the bad thing is that it applies the other way as well :). I won't say this a short thing, but overall, for me, it's hard to lose weight. Even if I do everything right there are long stretches of time where I won't lose anything! If there is anyone that can relate to that or has any insight for me that would be great. Anyway, I'm glad to be here!!
"Dieting, to me, means a temporary situation until I can get to a certain number on the scale only to go back to how things used to be. It is what kept me from embracing all that this great journey could offer. But no more—I am living a healthy lifestyle!"- Nancy Howard
