Welcome to the team. We're glad you're here. If the Firm DVDs are circuit training, you can add the minutes of that in cardio on the fitness tracker. If it's more weight training, then you can put the number of reps and pounds of weights you used in the strength training portion of the tracker.

Welcome, Cathy--my story is similar, my weight was pretty constant and more or less where it should be, but over the past few years it's just been going up and up--I'm so glad there's a site like this where I can start building some healthy habits and learning how to do this.
Welcome to the team. This sites is great. I found that if I stick with it the weight comes off but if I don't log on and stick with my stuff the weight just comes right back on me like it did recently. Good luck to you
Hi! My name is Cathy, and I am a 49 year old wife and mom of 3 kids: 16, 13 and 11. Before kids, I always had that 5 or so pounds to lose, but that's it. Since then, I have been floundering for years with the vague thought that I really need to lose weight, but without goals to achieve it. Each year, the weight slowly crept up until, at 5' tall, I topped out at 190 lbs this past Spring. Ouch! I hated the way my body felt and looked, but couldn't seem to focus long enough to make a change. Although I 'joined' Sparkpeople years ago, I really did not use the site until last month! Now I am so excited that I've lost 17 pounds, and I consistently use the Nutrition tracker. and exercise regularly. I haven't quite figured out how to use the Fitness tracker yet, as I use the Firm DVDs, and I haven't seen a way to track that. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by my 50th birthday (but I'm in no hurry to get there! Hey, I just turned 49 at the end of August!)
