I have been smoke free for one month now. I haven't gained any weight and am losing with much hard work. I believe it is totally a myth that you will gain weight if you quit smoking. You just have to be more in touch with your feelings on what you are doing.

Hello, I'm Lauren. I'm 22 years old, 5' 3'', and I joined SP on March 9th of this year. I also quit smoking on February 15th. Up until I joined SP, I had continually gained weight (at an astonishing rate of 20 pounds a year) for the past 4 years. I overate to the point that I was wayyy too full and drank way too much alcohol (I was in college). After realizing how my weight was getting in my way of living life, I finally decided it was time to do something about it. I have given SP my all (most weeks ;) and have lost 24 pounds since joining! I have had some bad weeks..but it's all about getting back up a continuing on this journey! Hope to get to know some of you :)

Lauren from Chicago!
