Hi. I am new to the team. I don't have the DVD....yet! I will be getting it asap. I have just finished therapy to help me go outside. I have been in this flat {apartment} 2 yrs and only just have got outside to see the neighbourhood.

If you want something you never had; you have to do something you've never done!

Ladies, emoticon emoticon emoticon Having you join the team is awesome!

Many of us have knee or hip woes, arthritis or other things that are a thorn in our side. This team is very supportive. Many of us work through enough of the pain to get stronger and healthier. Many, including myself, have found walking to be a personal medical treatment that works!

Ask questions, jump into challenges and games, encourage a teamie. We hope to see you often on the threads.

PS. Need encouragement? Let us know on the team huddle. You'll be amazed at how many will be there for you just in the nick of time!

Hi all. Been here on SP since the end of Feb.
Found this team from a friend's page.
I suffer chronic-pain from arthritsis of the spine& other back& health problems.
While bed-ridden in 2002 I found Leslie's dvds for sale on QVC. Bought it& liked it.
I have usd it , but I also learned I can just walk while watching a tv-program& get 30 mins in.
I do like the dvds& wii-fit plus. When I can do them.
Welcome to all I was inspired by your stories on here! Thank you all for sharing them!

Good Morning Everyone emoticon
My name is Carolyn, last name is Whitney and I'm a retired high school biology teacher (WHITNEYTEACHER). I have arthritis in a lot of places, including my knees, so walking is my preferred exercise. Before I retired in 2008 I was driving 140 miles a day to work and back and would listen to audio books along the way. Now I listen to my books while I'm exercising. I don't listen to them any other time so I'm encouraged to exercise more so I can hear more of the story. I have several Leslie video's, I like the walking but not her constant talking so I mute the TV and listen to my audio books while I follow what she's doing.
My husband and I just moved from a house he had lived in for over 40 years (one month after he had major back surgery) to our new house in Southern Oregon. I just found a new walking trail that goes for miles and I can get on it only about a block's distance from my house. Unfortunately that block's distance is walking on the side of a very busy highway.
I look forward to getting to know everyone here, there's a lot more about me on my page if you want to take a look. emoticon

I'm Carolyn, from Nebraska in the States but I live and work in Africa. I'll be retiring at the end of this year, returning to live in Nebraska.

I've been in SP for over five years and was on one of the Leslie Sansone teams for awhile years ago, perhaps this one. In 2012 I broke my knee and had 5 surgeries on my leg, putting me in the hospital and rehab for two months. Since then my walking has been less because my left leg swells. I must keep at it though even if it is not much. Here on the equator it has been humid and in the 90s F lately and sooo hot that I have not wanted to walk outside. I should be able to dig out some of my Leslie dvds to help me get in some walks under my ceiling fan.

I'm not actually "new" - I was a member of this team last year for a bit. I really did enjoy my time here but was faltering so much last year I thought I needed to change everything. So I joined all new teams.

I'm back though. I just really enjoy Leslie and wanted to spend more Sparktime w/ people who also really enjoy her!

Hi everyone!

I just joined this team today and have enjoyed reading through the introductions, especially learning that for many of you the Walking dvds do indeed help shed weight! I need to lose weight and have been working out for a couple of weeks now doing Pilates.

I want to add a bit of variety to my workouts so I think WATP will help. This evening, I went to the library and checked out 3 Leslie Sansone dvds. Tomorrow will be my first workout with Leslie. I'm looking forward to it and looking forward to losing weight emoticon

Hey my name is Laporscha im 23 years old 5'5 at 155.5 and im back to lose weight and tone up, feb 2010 i came here at 176 and my goal was to get down to 135 and i did by July 2010 I was happy but not as happy as i thought i would be because i didnt have the shape of my dreams due to the fact i didnt do much weight training but i maintained my weight with exercise and counting calories then i started working more and started slacking early 2013 thats when i hit the 150's again im upset because im in the middle now i can either keep slacking and end up in the 170's again or get back on track and be in the 130's again i also do club promoting and model a little now i dont look bad in the 150's but i can look better in the 130's so im back to kick some ass i missed u girls and guys i do leslie sansone faithfully i love her i do different dvd my favorite is burning body fat ones with weights

Hello and good morning! I really love these walking DVD's. I'm in my fifties and find that without some incentive I have a very seditary lifestyle. Leslie's positive attitude and encouraging nature make me feel like I can do it! I I think the fact that you can accomplish the goal ( walking to that beat!) and grow (hey I can finally feel that tummy tuck!) keeps everyone motivated. I've passed on dvd's to everyone who expresses to me a desire to get moving and lose some weight. My daughter is the newest recipient and she's just loving them!

I'm a HUGE fan of her dvd's and they have been so helpful to me this year as I recover from knee replacement surgery and get back to normal activity. Hello, My name is Sherilyn. I'm 54 years old, 2 grown children. 5 grandchildren, 3 of which live with me. 6 years ago I lost 60 pounds using walking away the pounds and sparkpeople. I put all that weight back on. Now I'm back to loose it again. I started right before Thanksgiving and have lost 21 pounds so far. I plan on getting back to 150. I own 8 of Leslie's disc. my birthday is Oct. 19. My strenght is that when I finally make up my mind to do something I don't stop till I get what I want. My weakness is my family and loved ones. I seam to have this bad habit of doing everything for them and forget about myself. I loose myself in their needs. I am trying to retrain myself to stop forgetting about me. My motivation is my health. I need to get healthy for my grandchildren and myself.

Hi everyone - I'm Jen - I'm not exactly new to the team but it's been a long time since I've been active on here. I love the WATP videos - they're great because you can easily adjust them to the fitness level (right now, I'm taking it a little easier as I'm just starting to exercise... but in a few weeks I'll be kicking it up a notch).

I manage a daily unpredictable seizure disorder and I help others learn more about seizure disorders through my charity, National Seizure Disorders Foundation. Hi,
I'm Sherry. I am a big fan of Leslie's Walk DVD's. I have used them in the past to lose weight and get fit. I have dusted several of them off for my New Year's fitness goals. I hurt my knee last year and stopped exercising regularly. Now I weigh more than I ever have in my life. I will be taking it slow and building my strength back, but with the Lords help and your support I believe I can be successful.

I love Leslie's DVDs, and own several. I have committed to completing the Walk it off in 30 Days workouts during January. I can't accept how out of shape I have allowed myself to become, and I am making a serious change in 2014!

Hi! I'm new! I actually LOVE walking outside, but it has gotten cold here in the Chicago area and my outdoor walking has taken a direct hit. A SF told me about the Leslie Sansone tapes, so I bought one as a reward for weight loss last month. I'm looking forward to using it and getting to know everyone on the team.

Just joined this team. I have a lot of Leslie Sansone DVDs and bought my mom some too. She loves the DVDs! I have been difficulty finding a place to play the DVDs since my players broke or went missing, but I hope to figure something out soon! I plan to try to do this first thing in the morning like my mom who is 83 years of age! I have a hard time keeping up with her! She is sooo fit and has been doing these DVDs for years now! I'm so glad she's benefited from them! It's time for me to get moving too! :)

Hi, I'm Stacy (don't let the "isabelle" fool you!). I've been doing Leslie DVDs off and on for about 10 years now. I go through spurts where I use them like crazy (particularly in winter), but then I'll lay off for a bit.

I'm a nerd (and quite proud of it), so of course I have a chart of the length of the DVDs I own, sorted by distance. I particularly like the longer ones (3+ miles) because you can really burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. However, I do love several of the two-milers as well. And there's nothing like fitting in a one-mile on even the busiest of days.

I live in suburban St. Louis, MO, with my husband and our two dogs. I'm an elementary school reading specialist, and I'm a big sports fan. I'm excited about joining this group!

Side note: I adore Mary Kay and I'm sad she hasn't been in the more recent DVDs. I also have a little crush on Steve from a few of the videos. He's just kinda adorable. :)

Hi I am Nic and love walking with Leslie! I have lost almost 70 pounds walking with her and miss it when I don't walk at least 1 mile with her.

I hope to lose about 30 or 40 more pounds. With Leslie, I can do it!

Hi, my name is Therese and I'm a returning member of SP. I lost 20kg a while ago, with food tracking and Leslie's videos, but unfortunately lost track of it all and gained just about everything back.
Back again now and still exercising to her videos, I have a neuro condition and exercise intolerance so her low impact cardio is perfect for me most of the time. When I'm in a lot of pain I just take shorter walks.

Hi everyone! I'm Brandi and I joined a few days ago. I need to lose 90 lbs and am trying to set small goals to help me along the way. I was reading up on the spark activity tracker and was wondering if anyone has it and how they like it. I have walked with Leslie before and am excited to get back into my routine.

Hello Stephanie

Just want to wish you luck in your journey to a healthier you! I can understand how overwhelming it can be to try and lose weight because I had at least 100lbs to lose at the start of my journey. I have found by just by making small changes day by day, week by week has helped me, and having support on here and from family and friends it will come together.

My thoughts are with you and once again good luck! Just don't forget we are one big family here on SP and here to help and support each other. emoticon

walkathome.com is a good place to start..free registration,and you can log your miles there also....she does explain her different videos for beginner,intermediate and advanced walkers.

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie, and I'm on a journey to lose 160 pounds. I have a very long road ahead of me, and I would love to make some new friends so we can encourage each other. I was here a couple of months ago, but I've been struggling a lot, so I've been absent from SP for awhile, trying to wrap my head around getting this weight off and making a true commitment. Having so much to lose is pretty overwhelming, but I'm determined to take it one day at a time. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hey everyone, I just joined the team! This is my second week of walking with Leslie and so far I have walked 19 miles! My goal is to lose weight through walking as it isn't one of those workouts that makes you feel like you are dying the entire time, but it is a hard workout! I got introduced to Leslie through my Grandmother when I was younger and I used to walk to her videos! It feels good to be doing it again! She is such an upbeat and happy person, it's awesome! I hope everyone has a healthy weekend!

I have just bought '5 mile fat burning walk' and done the 2 miles, how can I track it, as I only did about 25 mins with the cool down?
