I am also dealing with insulin resistance, but all I've been told is to lose weight and it'll correct itself, since it's gone up as my weight has I'm assuming. So I don't worry about my blood sugar, I just work at losing weight and the dr checks my sugars periodically. I did learn a lot about blood sugar and insulin resistance in Wheat Belly so that may be worth the read for you.

Hi! I am struggling with insulin resistance, a situation that essentially means I turn everything but lettuce and meats into fat (I don't metabolise carbohydrates very efficiently and store most of what I eat). My naturopath and I have run out of ideas, barring trying supplements that may help. I already follow a fairly strict dietary regime to minimise carbs. Any one found anything helpful? (Not just uppers or caffeine)
