Hi :) I use coconut milk. You can buy it sweetened or unsweetened. Even Almond milk tended to bother my stomach. I like unsweetened coconut milk because, to me, it has almost no taste. So, I can add it to just about anything without it giving the dish an odd taste.

I use Soy milk as I did not like the taste of Almond milk in my coffee and rice milk seemed to leave a lot of sediment emoticon

I use Almond Milk, unsweetened and vanilla as a substitute for milk and it's wonderful.

hi tami! i do the same thing too i will go for a whole week grabbing for the same snack for foods. i do try to shake things up a bit. i'm a big fan of an apple and almonds. or banana and pistachios. i read once that it is good to have 2 flavors and textures for a snack to make it more satisfying.
some times for a snack i have a italian quinoa salad with tomato, garlic, fresh basil & olive oil those types of salad also helps me out for sides for other meals.
who says a snack can only be carrot sticks or a pc of fruit!
bummer on the milk allergy. do you eat soy milk/cheese products?

I am a 47 yr old Mom of 2 grown children & I have recently started to be more careful with what I am eating as I have recently found out that I am still very allergic to milk.
I am hoping to get some ideas from you on menu planning and some easy recipes.

I work the night shift so I have to take enough food with me for a shift (lunch and snacks) -- which is sometimes hard to do and I find myself packing the same stuff all the time. Time for some variety.......
