welcome to the team. I hear you about the portion control and the scales. I hate both and use neither. You may want to look at a low-carb eating style of all natural foods where you only count carbs and can eat as much as you want. You may find that some of what you think is emotional eating is actually hunger. At least that was true for me.
You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN OTHERS.
I've been eating clean off and on since my pregnancy, but made it my 2012 resolution to get serious about eating healthy and losing weight.
I don't own a scale (because I absolutely obsess over every lb) so I measure my weight loss by what new pair of pre preggo jeans I am able to fit in.
I suck at portion control, and am definitely an emotional eater... But I'm not giving up!
Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
