I joined this team a few years ago, but I've been off the bandwagon for a LONG LONG time. So..here I am, back (again), and I thought I'd reintroduce myself. :)
I'm Kristi, and I've been married since 2000 to my wonderful husband. We have 6 kids. I lost all of my pregnancy weight (and then some!) after the birth of my third, but then our family hit a really rocky time. Cross-country move (away from my beloved gym... away from ANY gym!!), then I got pregnant with twins right away, medical issues, then pregnant with another singleton right away, another move... these past 2-3 years have been chaotic!
Things are calming down, though. They're going back to where they should be, and I've GOT to get this weight off. I'm the heaviest I've ever been (except when pregnant with my youngest), and this is not cool.
I want to eat clean, organic, local, GMO-free, and gluten free. That would be my ultimate goal. I want to do the cooler plans, the whole 9 yards. I did before, and I looked and felt AMAZING.
DH, he's on board with that... except it ain't cheap. :( Which, when you have kids, is a problem. So, he and I are sitting down tonight (come h*** or high water) and we're going to come to a compromise we can *both* live with. He's somewhat of a fitness buff, too, and I know he would LOVE to eat better, if we could afford it. We've actually planned long weekends away (on his suggestion) based off of where Whole Foods stores are, so we can pick up good food. We're food geeks like that. Hehehe So I know he'd be on board, if we could find a budget-friendly way to do it. (BTW, no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's near us, nearest is about 2 1/2 hours away.)
It really, truly sucks that living healthy is expensive. It shouldn't be, but that's a whole 'nother rant for a whole 'nother day. :)
Anyway, that's who I am and where I'm at. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! :)
