Hi there! I'm not new to SP, and not new to the topic of "eating clean"...but I AM on a new journey of challenging myself to whole heartedly pursuing this new lifestyle, of minimizing toxins and preservatives in my diet!
I have met Tosca Reno, and I have her books and LOVE her! I think she is great! To be honest I felt that her recipes were a little much for me at times. I can't always afford to buy organic and therefore, found her recipes challenging. Not to mention that I am a busy stay-at-home mom! I am running after a 20 month old EVERGETIC boy all day, and sometimes don't have the energy to think of making complicated meals.
In saying this, I am re-learning a healthy lifestyle. I have recently lost 50lbs, which was all baby weight sadly:( It took my over a year to lose!
I am feeling great now though! My husband bought me a cookbook called "The best of Clean eating"...(not a Tosca Reno book)
And the recipes are FABULOUS...easy...healthy and has the breakdown of portion sizes and calories! I can't say enough about how much I LOVE this cookbook! So those of you looking for something to rev up your dinners...go get this!
Anyways like I said I'm on a new journey, and I am wanting to eat better, cook healthier for my family, and implement new vegetables/grains/fruits.
I have also started using Quinoa and Bulgar wheat in recipes...LOVE it!
So any other advice or suggestions that any of you might want to pass on - I would really love to hear from you!! I'm always open to hearing about new recipes, or organic alternatives!!
