In my book stuff like TVP is absolutely NOT clean or good for our bodies in any way. Either are most protein powders. I am hoping that Tosca makes some healthy changes in her diet recommendations. I hope she is even paying attention now that she's made her millions.

Stick to real food and stay away from any powders that have "isolated protein" in them. Our bodies will rebel against that stuff...sooner or later you will know it.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

I was surprised by some of the things on the list: are protein powders and textured vegetable protein considered clean? I doubt that I would have any of the ingredients used to make them on hand.

Try it again; sometimes things just get hung in cyberspace. Are you sweeping over it and doing a copy and paste in your browser's address field? I don't have any trouble getting it to load

I tried to look at that list and I can't make it work. Says page not found!

No foods with high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients it is too processed, I will not eat or buy the item.

You are SO right DB!! Either are boxed cereals.

In fact, I can't recommend ANY grocery store boxed cereal that I would consider "clean". Maybe a box of organic rolled oats or cracked rice cereal...maybe. But any of those cereals that are pushed, cooked, smooshed, crisped, flaked, puffed, etc. are all negative on the health scale even if they are organic. They are also negative on the food-for-your-dollar scale. You hardly get any actual food for the amount of money you pay for any of those cute cold cereals.

Did you know that Kashi brand is owned by Kellogg?? It's just another mass marketed industrialized product. And "All Bran"?? Don't bother with it. Just eat your veggies and you will get all the fiber, in its natural form, that you need.

Like cold cereal? Make your own granola. Doesn't need to be elaborate or overly sweet. Just fresh and your family will go nuts over it (no pun intended).

Need a recipe?

I can understand needing a grocery list to get started, but you'll definitely catch on quickly! I know I personally like to base my shopping list on the meals I'm going to prepare for the week, so if my meals are clean, my grocery list will be clean!

I would just recommend being a big-time label-reader when it comes to the cereals and grains. Whole-grain breads are not all created equally!

Nevermind. Found it myself. Maybe you don't need something like this, but it helps me when I have to go to the grocery store.

I can't give you a "list". In fact, I think it's better to simply know what "clean" eating is all about and start to change your habits...a little at a time. Lists are like rules and they easily get broken because...well, they just do.

"Clean" eating is eating food in its most natural form. It's staying away from processed, refined foods and ingredients. It's reading labels (if you even buy foods with labels!) and not eating anything with ingredients that you don't completely understand or that you wouldn't even have in your own kitchen.

Clean eating means getting back to eating real food; the kind of food that our bodies recognize and turn into power for living. It means turning our backs on all the advertising hype in ads and on labels. It's a simpler way of eating.

The team "Clean Eating & Recipes" shares a lot of good ideas on how to prepare healthy, clean dishes. If you aren't already a member you might consider joining.

Hope this helps.
