You are SO right DB!! Either are boxed cereals.
In fact, I can't recommend ANY grocery store boxed cereal that I would consider "clean". Maybe a box of organic rolled oats or cracked rice cereal...maybe. But any of those cereals that are pushed, cooked, smooshed, crisped, flaked, puffed, etc. are all negative on the health scale even if they are organic. They are also negative on the food-for-your-dollar scale. You hardly get any actual food for the amount of money you pay for any of those cute cold cereals.
Did you know that Kashi brand is owned by Kellogg?? It's just another mass marketed industrialized product. And "All Bran"?? Don't bother with it. Just eat your veggies and you will get all the fiber, in its natural form, that you need.
Like cold cereal? Make your own granola. Doesn't need to be elaborate or overly sweet. Just fresh and your family will go nuts over it (no pun intended).

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
