Thanks for the advice. I've got it under control now. I've been having a 1/2 cup of soy yogurt before going to the gym and I find that I only need on my strength training days. After the gym I eat my full breakfast and then I'm fine!

My acupuncturist wants me to avoid breads in the morning, so I have 2 apples, a bit of Kifir and some nuts, I find they are great for everyday.

If I am going to work out first, what works the best is Kifir, and a banana dipped in sunflower seeds.

Hi Bekah! I am new to the group too, waiting for my book to come in the mail so I can get started on the eating part and see how good (or not) I have been doing on my own. :) From what I gather so far, a lot of folks like oatmeal in the morning, or a bit of peanut butter smeared on a banana. Both seem to be a good fuel for a workout. :)

Hi all! I'm new to this team. I also am an early riser - 4:30 a.m. to hit the gym at 5 a.m. for an hour before work. I started a new eating plan day before yesterday where I eat 5 meals a day. Staying at 5 meals a day is challenging when I'm up that early. I'm trying to stay under 1500 calories. I drink a protein shake right after my workout - 100 calories. Maybe a spoonful of peanut butter or a piece of fruit would be good upon rising?
