Vitamin D is also called the sunshine vitamin and does help in absorbing calcium, but it helps build the immune system and some recommend high doses, but I would start out with a lower does and build up. 400iuto start. I'll need to run right now, but I'll check into it later. Oh and you should be able to absorb it better naturally in Arizonia.

Thanks for the suggestion...What is the D3 for? I've never heard of using it as a remedy for a cold. As for the C, I've taken a lot of "Airborne" in the past few days. If you catch it in time, it really does do wonders in cutting down on colds. I had a bit of sinus congestion and a sore throat on Monday, but it was pretty much gone when I got up this morning emoticon .

I can relate a bit to that, My folks live several states away and I've had to spend several months a year with them lately. It is difficult on both ends of the trip as well as the time spent away from home. You are doing a good thing, I'm sure. Try some echinacia as well as extra vitamin C ad D3, a nice cup of decaffeinated tea and hopefully you can relax and get some sleep between packing sessions.

Thanks for the encouragement emoticon . I'm feeling a bit out of sorts today. The closer my departure comes, the more stressed I get. I've been sleeping less, and think I'm getting a stress cold, but I'm really looking forward to seeing my mother and friends again... I lived there for nine years, but left in 2000. Every time I go back for a visit I get a touch of homesickness when I leave...Now I guess it will be the other way around emoticon .

I opened this account about this time last year ( I think???), but haven't been motivated enough to actually use it regularly. I'm moving from my beautiful home in the Seattle area, to the hot dry region of the Arizona desert. This isn't a move that I'm looking forward to, but one that is necessary for financial and medical reasons (my finances, and my mothers health).

When I arrive next week, I will be without regular computer access for a time, but will attempt to track on paper and transfer the info to the net as often as possible. I look forward to improving my body, mind, and Spirit through this process, and hope to have the encouragement of others through my journey.
