Welcome to the team!! I'm basically deaf/hh - the hh part is rapidly becoming deaf! and I do need to practice ASL as well. My husband and son are hearing and not motivated to learn to improve communication with me. But we are glad you are here and looking forward to getting better acquainted!!

Hello all, I'm new to the board. Not only am I HOH but two of my children are, too. All three of us wear hearing aids. We're in the process of learning ASL because my loss is progressive and I'd rather know sign language before I need it. Plus it will help us feel more part of the DHOH community here since almost everyone in our community is completely deaf and signs - we feel like the odd people out having to rely on hearing people to interpret for us.
