Bravo to you both! I just came back from my 6 month check up with my family doctor, and I'm 21 lbs. lighter since my last visit. He was very pleased. He doesn't realize that I'm actually down a total of 49lbs from my highest weight. He never saw me at my highest because I kept canceling my appointments. At any rate, I FINALLY have my 'act' together. I eat right, exercise every day, am NOT concerned about the scale, so I don't get on it that often.

My advice to you is to remember that it's a true lifestyle change; it's NOT a race; don't let little slips turn into landslides; take it each bite at a time and enjoy the bites you take; have fun exercising; don't obsess on numbers; have a positive outlook.

HI! Again!

Of course I have been off and on here.... Everyone has helped a great great deal since we lost our poodle sam (THANK YOU!)....

However.... WE (Partner and I) are back on Sparkpeople and back on getting our eating and weight loss restarted.....

Gotta love lent..... We have given up for Lent (And it is for personal rather than religious reasons)

1) Chips and Chocolate

2) Alcohol

3) Meat (Other than fish)

4) Junk Food of ANY kind (Chips and Chocolate are their OWN category)

5) Pre-processed, Frozen foods (The pizzas, noodle dishes etc we use frozen vegetarian stuff and frozen fish and veggies)

6) NO delivery service deliveries (We have a WONDERFUL Pizza service but its a No NO!

Which means, we must make our own food (Which is not a huge problem but it IS hard when we both work hard and odd schedules... We must drink 1-2 liters of water per day (We are including organic no sweetened fruit and vegetable juices in our diet)... we are using the videos from Sparkpeople and have set a workout schedule.....

NOW to buckle down to the discipline..... Which is where we usually trip ourselves up......

I'm logging our foods..... We eat the same meals (We plan it that way, although at the end of the month She is going to have a really hard time since she's on a class trip for 10 days to England with students but we are planning for that....) and are fighting to make the new start into a good habit.....

But I am back and I am ready to see everyone again and share with you all the ups and downs together!
