I remember you! Welcome back. Yes, I got lax over the hot summer myself. In Alabama, it's just so hot and humid. I work and everytime I had to go in and out of my car for errands and work, I would be completely worn out when I got home. The heat just saps me. Now I'm back to it.
Glad you came back! Yep your buddy has grown a LOT!!!

"How beautiful a day can be When kindness touches it!" - George Elliston
Hello poodle friends! I don't know if anyone remembers me -- I am Kathy, mom to Rascal the standard poodle. We were on this forum for a while last year but then took a year off when life got busy. When I was last here, Rascal was just a tiny puppy and I was running on a treadmill for fitness. When he was big enough to go for leash walks, I started walking him and quit running. Then we had to take a break from walking when it got ridiculously hot here in Central Texas over the summer -- we are talking highs in the 100s and lows in the 80s for several months! Way too hot for a solid-black fuzzy poodle boy. I'm afraid I got rather "fluffy" during that time myself and I can definitely feel the extra weight when I try to exercise.
Now that the weather has cooled off and Rascal is a full-grown big boy, he and I walk every weekday in the neighborhood for fitness. He is such a great motivator -- he knows when it's time for his walk and he will not let me slack off! And he keeps me at a good pace, too. I really don't know what I would do without him -- he is my fitness buddy and the one that keeps me going when I want to quit. Poodles are the best!
Anyway, we are glad to be back! Rascal sends wags and wiggles and sleepy cuddles to everyone!
