Rascal and KMSRRTX! Tara sends wags to Rascal and invites him to share his take on life with other poodles and doodles and friends on the poodletalk thread. Sounds like Rascal's mastered the play bow and pounce, but might need another poodle to remind him to keep his galumphing paws under control. (she's about a foot tall at the shoulders, miniature size, and had to remind Big Chloe the standard poodle before they became true poodlebuddies.) Tara also tells me to apologize for not attending more to this team. Of course I've been paying attention to her and she's not willing to give up very much laptime (that's her shih tzu half I think!).
You've discovered by now how poodles have their own sense of humor (and entitlement, i.e. training their humans). They can be not only great cuddling companions, but exercise incentives too. And the most common sayings at the dog park might well be: a tired pup is a good pup, and a tired pup is a happy pup. I can see Rascal's smile already...
Whenever I''m tempted to eat something I shouldn''t, I remember the following: "Don''t eat for the moment''s pleasure, for when that moment''s gone, the consequences will stay with you, from that moment on."
Hi, everyone! I'm new to SP and the proud owner of a standard poodle puppy, Rascal. He is such a character and I was thrilled to learn there is a Poodle Club here! Rascal is my first poodle and he is so different from any other dog I've owned. He uses his front paws and pounces like a cat! So funny. I hope when he's bigger/older he'll be a good running buddy for me. Anyway, nice to meet all of you and your poodles, too!
